A Romantic Beach Proposal in Tamarindo, Costa Rica
Faissal reached out to us via Instagram, looking for a small luxury beach setup to surprise his girlfriend with a proposal in Tamarindo. He wanted something private and sophisticated, combined with a photographer who could capture the special moment.
We reached out to Mariana from Sharing Life Photos, a professional photographer based in the Tamarindo area, to be part of the experience. The planning with Faissal went very smoothly, and we agreed on a sunset time for his preferred date. We selected Playa Langosta to capture his engagement in Tamarindo with a beautiful evening light.
Unfortunately, when the day arrived, we had to deal with rainy weather. However, the forecast showed a good weather window after midday. Our priority is always our clients’ preferences, so we gave Faissal the option to reschedule for the following day or take a chance on the weather window. He preferred the latter, and together with Mariana, we adjusted the timing on the same day. Being flexible and adapting to changing circumstances is an important part of providing a high level of guest service.
The surprise proposal
When the moment finally arrived, the weather showed itself from its best side, with blue skies and sunshine. We were all so happy!
Faissal’s girlfriend, Julia, had no idea that a beautiful beach setup was waiting for her. The surprise became so even more special when he proposed. Mariana beautifully captured the moment of his engagement in Tamarindo, followed by a wonderful photo session on the beach.
Afterwards, they enjoyed an aperitif-style experience at the proposal setup. Included were a charcuterie grazing board and sparkling wine while taking in the sunset and celebrating this special moment together.
